Here is the first one, if you are a runner, cyclist, or just spent too much time sitting at your desk; it is likely you have inactive or overworked glutes, this results in shortened external rotator muscles of the hips, such as your glute mid and piriformis muscle. Symptoms can present themselves as pain, lack of flexibility, decrease in strength and even knee pain, which could lead to injury.

This is a great exercise to help release tension and help you move better.
